This has been the worst three years of my life. I got accepted into a program called the art scholars program and I was told that I would have many, many opportunities to go to places abroad, and cool shows for fairly cheap. However, I fought and fought and fought to only get to go on two trips (in the united states). I also (being a very well spoken and social person) made only one or two friends here. If you don't drink, you don't make friends. In high school, I always made friends with guys because well, lets face it, the average high school girl is a *****, but here, two of my three friends are girls, and one is a guy…but he's gay. Most of the men (boys) when they get here go testosterone crazy and only care about one thing. Besides all that, the work is pointless, and you don't learn a lot (pointless work like in high school). My family connections have gotten worse and whenever I go home (although I feel relieved) I get treated like a stranger. So to wrap this up, my advice is to go to a school near home for your undergrad.
