The social life is average at best and everyone complains about a lot of people going home or to the city for the weekend, but it's what you make of it and don't let anyone tell you anything different. Having a great group of friends can everything more fun.

The academics are top notch for the price they offer at SBU. Great research facilities, libraries, etc. Campus food is okay I'd say average. The dorms as well are a bit average.

The school D1 teams are really starting to move up in the rankings and in their divisions. Our football team just got into a better division from last year and our baseball made a name for us in its own right.

Safety wise there has been a couple of incidents in the past so I'd say for all the ladies especially at night just call campus security for a ride to your car or dorm.

I'm not really going to elaborate about SBU too much its a great school for its prices and its great for its pre-law & pre-med programs as well. Visit yourself and see how you would like it.
