Major: Education (This Major's Salary over time)
Admittedly, I initially chose WPU because I was supposed to get a full tuition scholarship, and then last minute the scholarship fell through. However, I stayed and am pretty glad I did. I feel that the education program is pretty great—I've gotten much more experience in the field than friends studying education elsewhere, and have had more classes focusing on every detail of education. In general, the staff and professors in the education department are helpful and easy to talk to.That being said, I feel that the staff at the main campus are a bit less helpful. My first year at WPU (which was my junior year, because I was a transfer) was hectic because I had issues getting my loans and scholarship in order, and the office staff never seemed to be available or was never sure who I should speak to. However, most colleges have these kinds of issues, so I don't think WPU was any worse than any other place. I was an English major as well as an education major, and found that the English department was fantastic (except for one horrible professor). I was a bit disappointed with foreign language professors, but I also have never been good at learning languages. Overall, I would highly recommend WPU for education majors!
