It is hard to put into words just how awful this school is. Think spoiled, entitled, not too bright students whose only concern is image. Females only concern themselves with designer clothes, shoes, bags etc. Males just lap it all up and the vast majority are your very definition of a frat boy. It helps if you are blonde as a female and it helps if you play lacrosse as a male. Get the picture?

A Fairfield student committed suicide - she was found in the bathroom having hung herself. That night, not a word was even mentioned. A few students were "too bad" but the majority just gathered at the Grape (the fairfield bar) and got drunk or high as per usual.

It is the type of school where the students have abolutely no values to speak of - unless you value thinking you are superior to the rest of the population because daddy can buy you fancy semester abroad trips to Florence, European cars and designer clothing.

Cocaine is everywhere. A lot of students are doing Ecstasy, some do heroin, a lot of prescription drugs. Alcoholism is a huge problem. The Administration seem to just shrug their shoulders and do nothing about it with an

oh well, it's college

attitude.

I hated the school so much I spent as much time as possible away from campus. Thank God it is close to New York City as I became a regular on MetroNorth.

DO NOT CONSIDER GOING TO FAIRFIELD UNLESS YOU ARE SHALLOW AND ENTIRELY FOCUSED ON IMAGE. OH YEA AND IT HELPS IF YOU LIKE TO HAVE A NEW BATCH OF FACEBOOK PHOTOS TO POST EVERY NIGHT.

I went to Fairfield in the early 80"s and transferred after sophomore year - and yes, a fellow student also committed suicide by hanging while I was there. Students were more cliquey and narrow-minded than my high school and there was NO diversity whatsoever. It should be a warning sign that the school's initials are FU!

I went to Fairfield and now go to Wesleyan. Believe me, there are places with people who are more stuck up and have a more skewed worldview than Ffld. Every college has annoying, immature people. I found a hugely supportive and caring community at Fairfield and after a recent death of one of our classmates (whose sister also went to Ffld) I and other traveled to the wake to wait in a three-hour line to pay our respects. Yeah, some people were shallow jerks but I also met more people that truly care about others in those four years than I have in the four years since- by a long shot.
