I was a student at USC as within the Education department. The campus of USC is nice. But that's the only good aspect of USC.

When I got here, I was shocked at how the students in the dorm behaved. I'm originally from the East Coast area. The students in my dorm would blast their music and have no regards for other students' well-being. When I told the dorm RA to tell particular students to keep the noise down, the RA would not even listen to me.

In addition, I have had a lot of arrogant and racist instructors at USC. Some of them would not even want to talk to me, or they would continue to type and not even give me their attention when going to their office hours.

If I had the choice to go back in time, I would have chosen another college to attend.

USC may be a good school, but it's nowhere near the level of an Ivy League education. The students tend to be shallow, tend to care more about football and other sports than their education, and some of them really do come from rich families where the student doesn't even attend class.

Right now, I have been working in and out of jobs. Just because I have a USC degree does NOT guarantee you a job.

Since July of this year, I have been working as an on-call substitute teacher.

In other words, you don't need to go for an expensive education.

commentI agree, anyone who pays for a private school education to become a teacher is not as smart as they think they are. Public schools are for future teachers.
