A lot of the negative comments on here are from people who probably did not want to go to Fairfield from the start. Going through the college process, such as going to campus visits, open houses, and orientation, gives you a pretty good idea about what the school is going to be like. You don't just go to a school without doing thorough research on it first. Most of the students I know are extremely friendly, welcoming, and down to earth. Yes, people here have some money and care about personal appearances, but it's that way at pretty much every private school in the northeast. Most students have a lot of Stag pride, and are involved in a ton of clubs and activities; it is not a bland or uninvolved campus by any means. The professors are very accessible and the academic advisors will help you figure out exactly what you want to do, but you have to do a lot of the leg work… which is the way it should be since college is about asserting your independence. I'm in the business school and couldn't be happier. a lot of my friends who are not in the business school are also happy.. nursing is a pretty popular major too.. And of course, the campus is gorgeous and senior live on the beach!
