Most of the true professors are fine, however this place has a bad habit of employing unskilled adjuncts. Dog trainers, office clerical workers, basically any warm body can be hired to teach a general course. They do not know how to teach in an engaging manner, just recite what is in the books to students. Papers, tests and exams are given, but the these teachers do not know how to justify their grading. No academic challenge or fresh ideas whatsoever.

The one discovery made that's completely unacceptable is that they obviously DON'T do background checks, because if they had they would have found out one of their adjucts instructors has a very recent and alarming criminal record - and he's teaching ETHICS of all things. He's still listed as teaching this course for summer 2011.

I'm not sure why our hard-earned money is paying this guy's wages, but given the lame effort of this place to hire quality assistant teachers, it should come as no surprise. There are high-school students taking these classes too. Where's the safety for them?

Many of the regular professors here are great, but for part-time instructors, maybe they could try to make sure they didn't hire any convicted criminals from now on? The guy is still on probation for cryin' out loud. And he made his first class buy his own book, not the standard text, to boot which had NOTHING to do with Ethics.

My relatives had a nice education in Nursing (very popular) and Accounting here. I am very disappointed in this place overall. Less time spent on campus appearance and more on quality instructors would be a good change at GMC. Check out your teachers first for criminal backgrounds before you pay good money for nothing.
