Other than the goofy Reagan slam, I agree with your assessment. I believe the student body cares less about Reagan than alcoholic beverages (it seems that being popular or drunk is the epitome of life. All you have to do is read about the sorority girls in the news (yes, Google it!) and that pretty much sums-up the student body (the males aren't much better). The majority are simply poseurs. All I can add is that I can see how the country is going downhill quickly in both finances and culture with the intelligent (sarcasm) student body that this school scams prospective students into believing it will join. |
In my era we considered being called a gdi to be a compliment and in fact the only people I ever heard use the term were my fellow gdis. Guess times have changed |
Major: Unknown (This Major's Salary over time)
This school is for kids who were popular in high school, have an arrogant attitude, worship an idol of Ronald Reagan, and believe that the words "fratty" and "slampiece" are a critical part of anyone's vernacular. The students are a complete joke; they have no tolerance of any social, cultural, or religious backgrounds and if you do not belong to a fraternity or sorority not only are you shunned but you are even given a demeaning label, a GDI (god damn independent)The sad part about this situation is that the professors could not be any better. They are knowledgeable, yet also very approachable and I have only had one professor whom I was not comfortable speaking with about anything. The affluence and party mentality of the student body, however, destroy all of the good qualities of the school and I cannot wait until I am gone forever in May.
