Major: PreMed and Medical (This Major's Salary over time)
FSU is a GREAT SCHOOL. That being said there are a lot of things that can keep you from enjoying it. The most obvious for me is the city… Tallahassee is quite possibly one of the most mediocre cities in the United States. It is small and has far too big a disparity between the rich and the poor. Another thing is the social life here.. Don't get me wrong you'll make friends, I know I did. Thing is if you are someone who is TRULY concentrated on academics, most of your fellow students are not really going to interest you very much. FSU is a big party school, and there are many people here that kind of come here just for that. Those points aside the academics are EXCELLENT! As a premed student I like the facilities available in the new Biology building, and the college of medicine is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. The entire campus is truly something spectacular, the best in Florida. Walking down the streets of Florida State for a few minutes will make you think you're in London. It's truly a fascinating place. All of my professors have been very professional thusfar. Even if I don't like the subject being taught my professor usually has my respect as someone incredibly knowledgable in the course matter and who is good at relaying information efficiently. Bottom line, FSU is a good school, but visit before you decide to come. You don't want Tallahassee's crappiness to take you by surprise.
