My honest opinion as a freshman here at SDSU concerning the SOCIAL ASPECTS. I agree a lot with the comment below me. Its a beautiful campus, in a beautiful city. But, as far as sdsu being a party school, i dont think that is the case. You can only party here if you are involved in greek life unless you want to party at the sport houses or at other house parties. You can't get into a frat unless you're in a sorority or really hot. If you're in a lower tier sorority, you still can't even party that much because the "top" frats won't let you in. There are some hot frat guys and some REALLY unfortunate looking ones. Regardless of this fact, they will think they are the hottest thing if they are in a top frat. Be prepared to have to deal with A LOT of snooty, caddy people if you are going to be getting involved in the greek system. It's the truth..greek life is BIG here on campus. I anticipated that my experience at SDSU was going to be a lot different but in terms of social statuses…it's FAR worse than high school.

Sounds like someone didnt get into teh Sorority they had hoped to get into.

Rejection can be a devastating event at your age. Don't worry hopefully with time you will gain some depth and insight in life and look back and laugh.
