Let me just start by saying that I am an Indiana resident and before I came to the IU campus, I was dead-set against going to school in Indiana. I was born in Florida and had planned to go to UF, which is where my dad attended and my cousin currently attends. I didn't want to go to college in Indiana; not Ball State, not IU, not anywhere (I live in Muncie, so Ball State was a popular option for most of my classmates). Then I came to IU. Indiana University is one of the most beautiful campuses I have ever seen. It has history and so many rich traditions and little quirks about the campus that even after having been here, I still learn something new about the campus practically every day. My dorm is so friendly, my teachers are helpful and relatable - there is honestly nothing bad that I can say about the education aspect of IU. The only problem that I would mention is that it is extremely difficult to eat healthy here. The dining halls consist mainly of fast-food-esque meals, and fresh things like fruit and vegetables are definitely a minority. I would definitely hope to see some healthier options sometime in the very near future.
