UCSD is really what you make of it. A lot of people will say that the school is socially dead, and that is really only half right. The majority of people aren't interested in having an active social life, but it isn't everyone. I have met many people who are always down to party and do things besides studying. You really have to get involved in a club or frat/sorority, especially if you live off campus. I also think the professors, for the most part, are really good. They are extremely knowledgeable and willing to help you. I'm very glad I went to UCSD.
