What can I say? I love NU. I love the programs, the students, the professors and the campus. These past two years have been great, and I've learned a LOT about myself and what I study.

I found the social scene to be great. It's truly versatile; I know people in the Greek scene who party almost every night and I know people who have literally never been to a party. I go out every now and then, but there's always plenty to do that isn't partying. On weekends, if I don't feel like going out, I can go to shows (lots of theatre), random student group events, or just hang out with friends in Evanston.

The academics are great. It's a challenge, but I never find myself 100% overwhelmed. It's definitely manageable (though my pre-med and ISP friends might disagree with me).

What I love the most about the students is that you get all of the brightness of a top university, but less snootiness. I would guess that the laid-back atmosphere of the Midwest attracts more reasonable people, or maybe that it just calms everyone down. Regardless, it feels a lot less intimidating than schools on the east coast.

Of course the weather is not ideal, but it's not too tough to get a big coat and just deal with it. It was a pretty fun way to bond with people freshman year: complaining together, having snowball fights, etc.

I won't go on too much about the location, but being in Evanston, right next door to Chicago is perfect—lots to do and see, without feeling as lost as one would in a big city.

If I could do it all over again, I would ABSOLUTELY come to NU. It's been just what I had imagined as a perfect college experience.
