If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely not choose CMU. I contemplated dropping out many times, but my parents wanted me to graduate. I did graduate, and almost two years later I can't find a decent job. This school provided no intellectual, cultural, or social stimulation. Social life is centered around getting drunk, which is great if that is your thing. There was a lack of music, discussion, fashion, etc. I hate to say this, but I feel I wasted four years of my life, not to mention a lot of money.
