Fairfield provided me with an excellent pre-medical education as well as a broadly based Jesuit liberal arts education. The campus was beautiful and well-maintained. Obviously, I graduated 18 years ago; however, all of my professors were open, honest, rigorous and very approachable. Fairfield has made enormous strides over the past 18 years in renovating the campus, building new structures, hiring new faculty, relandscaping and offering ample internships, service outreach programs etc to its students. The academics were very strong and solid and far broader than when I was there i.e. the Engineering school. I was well prepared for graduate school and medical school. I remember the students to be overall very friendly and the diversity is significantly better than when I was there. I have many fond memories of my four years there and am always proud to mention Fairfield as one of my alma maters in the same breath as any other very good and respected college! I would definitely recommend it to any high school senior! Overall, starting at any college is an adjustment and all the schools I have attended including Georgetown and Penn State had the same issues of people complaining about administration. No other college in America has come so far in such a short amount of time! Overall go stags!
