Major: Accounting (This Major's Salary over time)
FAU began only for masters/post-graduate, mostly business studies and has expanded into a good undergraduate university as well. Some areas of study are more challenging than others. I was very impressed with my accounting education. I got excellent scores on my CPA exam my accouting and tax teachers were excellent. I also appreciated that they had much more real life experience than some of the life-long professors at the previous university I attended. Most of my instructors had "big-four" experience and/or their own practice, but they still put effort into their lessons, notes, and replying to student e-mails. This is an excellent school for students who are "over" the college life. You can find sports, but you won't find students who's live's revolve around school, drinking, frats, etc. Students here have jobs, families, previous careers, or jobs they are trying to turn into a career. And while the work is challenging, teachers are respectful of personal responsibilities and the fact you can't always do it all. Some advice- new scholarships are available each semester in different batches with different deadlines. If you have good grades and/or need and work hard to find them through FAU's fin.aid website and that of your department and college, you can go to school for free and more.
