Major: Interior Design (This Major's Salary over time)
Overall, its difficult here. It finally took my till Senior year to find some cool people here. Otherwise, people at FIT definitely suck and just want to be queen bee of FMM or whatever major which is fine…but there is no group efforts, teams work, nothing. Its all for yourself or nothing. Which I managed (i have called friends and family crying not understanding why girls and guys can be so cruel here…including teachers!)

Interior Design department here is hard, BUT WORTH IT! It will work your butt, make you stay up late (up for 51 hours last semester). The lighting classes here suck and so do most of the liberal art classes.

This is really a design school. The business area here is a joke to many even though they have connections. The lessons here for that just aren't up to par compared to other schools.

NYC overall is awesome though. But thats the problem to some. They think college and parties, where at FIT it is mostly a business and commuter school. Those who do party go out to clubs (which are hard to get into unless your willing to do a few illegal things with people…not advisable). The bars are harsh with IDing, so its great here AFTER your 21 otherwise, the city nightlife can be boring.

Good school and bad school…really, you just have to have determination and not give a crap what others think or say about you here. That also includes teachers. I had a few here who were verbally abusive to a few students.

OOOOOOOO and the administration area IS HORRIBLE!

The end.
