I absolutely agree 100%. Overall I feel as though this university is very unorganized and confused as well as confus-ing. This will be my second year attending L.I.U and there were countless issues in various aspects of the school. You must stay on top of EVERYTHING, if not, many mistakes will be made and unaccounted for. A lot of the staff don't know what they are doing, and talking to them is a headache. Simple questions and issues turn into an all day affair. Anything that must be taken care of must be done weeks in advance because they will mess something up during the process. I also remember having to carry a lot of my belonging down the steps to avoid waiting 30-40 mins for an empty let alone WORKING elevator at the end of the spring semester. My immunization records were and still are "lost" for god knows how long, and the only way I found out was by going there to get a copy and surprisingly finding someone else's records in my folder! They always appear to be doing some construction around campus and despite this nothing seems to change for the better. Sometimes i wonder where my parents money is going which is sad. On a lighter note, I love being in the city and the overall college experience. I must admit that in all the issues I have faced in this school I have at least made some valuable relationships, which doesn't have much to do with the school quality. The money is not at all worth what the students receive. If you are considering L.I.U Brooklyn as a possibility please continue to do your research! |

Horrible school, came as a out of state student. Elevator was always broken, food is horrible, most of the time i ate in the city, most of the students are very nasty and ghetto, I paid a deposit on dorm for the next year and was told i can get refund if i decided not to attend that year. I have been fighting with faulty staff about refund and as of today still no refund. My tution was over charge and receive a refund and they claim that i receive my refund for the dorm. when myself and other were moving out for the year we couldn't even get a cart to put our personal belongs in we had to had carry every thing down to vehicles. I have tranfer to another university and have receive have of my tuition with grant and scholarships, I'm so glad i made this move and much happier. Also the tuition that the school charge is way to expensive for what you get in that school. I could go on and on but don't have the time to . DO NOT COME TO THIS SCHOOL I REPEAT DO NOT COME OR YOU WILL REGRET IT. Also i wrote a comment about this school last year but it was remove.
