Major: Political Science (This Major's Salary over time)
I have spent the last four years at Stony Brook University. The school is not easy and I think a majority of the negative comments stem from the fact that most people come to college with unrealistic expectations of parties and freedom but forget about the work that goes into it. I have had some ups and downs here but once I found my niche and realized I had to put in the work to get the results that I was after I began to do really well. If you want to do sciences but aren't a genius don't come here. The social sciences however are amazing and I haven't taken a class in Political science, philosophy, english or sociology that i was disappointed in. Wherever you go you will have to do work. Its a fact that you can't complain about. i saw one comment that you have to take 2 years of foreign language. That is a fabrication, it is 2 semesters! SPN 111 and 112. The Spanish teachers are generally helpful. Bottom line I have friends from here, i love my teachers, i hated chem like everyone else, and it is not easy but it is absolutely worth while.
