1. I have lived in CA all my life (was born here).

2-3. If you can silence yourself (without exaggeration) from 90% of the social activities around you, this is the school for you. No really, that last statement was more the truth than "bashing." The school is intricately designed for those who have no desire to take even one step of the "college experience." Now there are outliers who will claim "well that's not true." They account for a minority of the population - far lower than it probably should be (JUST LOOK AT THE PIE CHART). The faculty are mediocre and the courses are… well, mediocre - not bad…just "normal." HOWEVER, it is the very constitution or foreground, the "brain," the VISION of where the school should go that are at fault. UCSD strives to be a pureblood educational school (perfectly legitimate), but since its birth less than half a century ago, students felt an awkward presence, or lack there of. Those who make decisions for the school idealize an environment where money and time wouldn't be utilized for anything other than "research and progression" - well, that's quite a harsh and stretched statement, but is it really? I suppose the greatest tragedy is that prospective students will read this and fail to reconsider because I represent myself as an anonymous, an*l, box of text.

The school will seem vibrant, alive, but in reality, it has a greater issue that it refuses, or cannot solve. It's so bad that kids graduate/leave with a sour-bitter taste in their mouths and DONT EVEN KNOW why.

4. Just… save yourself the money and time (especially with the 30% tuition increase). I assure you the image(s) of the "a. city lights at night and exciting club scene b. luscious ocean breeze and waves crashing on the shore" will "POOF" in time. Welcome to San Diego, in-staters, and OUT!
