Ithaca, like life, is what you make it. On an academic note, most professors really love teaching and make an effort to know you. They're approachable and friendly and you're a person at Ithaca and not just a number. A lot of their policies are very student friendly and they try hard to find out our needs so that they can meet them as best as they are able. If you need that big school setting, a huge town, multiple things to do all the time then Ithaca is probably not the place (or the school) for you. If you'd like that small teacher-student ratio, a chance to have a somewhat personalized education and just that small school feel you may like Ithaca. There are things to do if you want them, and you have an opportunity to really step out of your box and live a changed life and more importantly, to be change in the Ithaca community. Ithaca can be the beginning of a growth experience - it's worth it.
