Horrible school for engineering. Total boot-camp meat grinder mentality. Prepare to be treated like garbage. Faculity provides second rate education while loading you down with worthless busywork.

commentThat's true that the work is pretty easy. This is the only school I can afford.
commentMost of the work is pretty easy. Unfortunately, my stats weren't high enough for a good school like NYU or Princeton.
commentFor engineering, don't go to either of the Cal Polys either. They are not worth your time.
commentUSC is good for engineering. Everyone I know who has gone there loves it. Cal Tech is another good choice.
NYU is NOT a good school. If anyone doubts that, do a Goggle search regarding NYU corruption. It is one of the most expensive American unis, much of the tuition used to pay for building projects and worthless administrative overhead.

Best thing anyone can do if they insist on attending college would be to test out of classes by means of CLA, attend community college for as long as possible, and take all placement exams. In other words, do whatever you can to lower your debt burden. The quality of the school doesn't matter if your debt burden doesn't allow you to live indoors…
