Major: Economics (This Major's Salary over time)
BC is SO overrated. It's sports-obsessed and academically mediocre. Small-minded conformist people will love it if they fit into the Catholic college mold of big-time sports/smart-enough kids who don't even think of challenging the status-quo and/or Church teaching. BC lives off its proximity to Boston and without that would be rightly considered a third-rate school. Ironic since most students spend their time drinking at campus parties and benefit little from the city. The main campus is beautiful but inadequate as most freshman are housed on a separate campus several miles away. Upperclassmen aren't guaranteed housing and are subject to the overpriced Boston rental market. The tail really wags the dog when it comes to sports and BC should be embarrassed by the compromises it makes in this area. BC athletes too often hit the local papers when arrested for criminal activity. This might fly in Texas or Geogia where sports are king and academics unabashadly considered secondary but BC pretends to be more than that. Look more closely—it isn't true.
