Major: Math (This Major's Salary over time)
The best decision of my life was the decision to go to Virginia Tech. The people here are fantastic, and the academics are challeging. Ill start with the people part. Students here are much more friendly than those from my home state. Faculty are fantastic, and are all willing to help you outside of class to understand the material. Ive taken 60 credits here so far, and ive only had one professor who was not super friendly and helpful. Your social life will be fantastic here, there is always something going on, sports events, parties, concerts, etc…The academics are also very challenging but definitely managable. I work about 2-3 hours a day on homework during the week, much more on test weeks. I go to the library frequently on saturdays and sundays and still find it quite full. Obviously workload is dependent on major and other factors, but I find the burden of work to be very tough, but definitely managable. In summary: This is the best school ever, come here.
