I LOOOOOVE this school. Everybody here is incredibly nice, smart, and ready to have fun. The professors here are fantastic- they really know their subject and you can tell they have a passion for it.At first I was hesitant to come to a 'big football' school- but any worries I had have been absolutely put to rest. Although Tech is large- I see people I know who live across campus, or off campus, all the time. Some I wish I didn't see as much… ;)And if you were worried about anything that a football school brings- trust me, this only adds to the high spirit that hokies have for their school. And you ultimately have the choice whether to attend games so it's really just what you make of it. I really knew next to nothing about football before coming to Tech (lets just say if your high school's team was like mine, you'd know nothing either) and wasn't that into it. But it's a party here. You might not even know what's happening- but some of my best memories here come from the games.VT also has a Corps of Cadets. They seem really serious and stuff a lot of the time, but I've made tons of cadet friends and they are waaay cool. These guys are just hilarious. Please, if you come, just go to upper quad sometime and watch them marching around and doing drills. It's an experience all on its own.Overall, If you choose to come here, you will meet some of the brightest, most interesting people of your life, gain a great education, and make some amazing memories. VT is sure to leave you loving it.
