I attended UNH for two years before transferring. I am not going to sit here and bash the school but personally, I know a lot of out-of-state students that transferred to other schools after a semester or two. My main problem was the lack of diversity. THIS IS A PREPPY SCHOOL. High School all over again. There are definite clicks and everyone is obsessed with tanning, clothes and Greek life. Sure, I love to look good but I didn't go to college to feel like I was back in HS. Also, I know UNH is considered a "Party School" but I honestly thought the social scene was kind of lame. GREEKS RULE THE SCHOOL and surprisingly, there are very few kegs on campus. When I was there everyone brought their own beer and the "frat parties" were everyone crammed in little basement listening to some crappy CD. Some people love this kind of stuff and if you do, go to UNH. If you aren't interested in Greek life I would be careful because it is an important part of this school. More and more people were pledging when I left because you needed to go Greek to get into the frat houses. Looks and money are important. Academically, the school has strong programs (the business school is suppose to be great) but I don't remember anyone being that intellectual. The campus itself is beautiful and yes, there are some great people there. The surrounding area is pretty boring so that is why it is important to decide if Greek life is something you are interested in. Overall, decide what is important to you before choosing UNH.

responseObviously if you go to UNH and don't have fun that means you have no friends. end of story.
responseYes, this is clearly what this person meant. He or she has no friends or has never partied, that is why the person said they were transferring to a school with more to do. Are you for real? The sad thing is that you are probably on a scholarship. Good luck pledging and partying on frat row. P.S. You need to work on your reading comprehension. Trust me, you need help with it.
