OU is a great place to go to college! The education is good, the campus is nice, and the social life is great. Making friends here is easy, just walk passed a party and you will most likely be invited in. Everyone has that friendly midwest attitude. The upside to going to a bigger school is that there are all types of people and everyone will be able to find their own niche. Because it is a larger school many freshman classes are taught by TA's, but I have already had two professors in intro classes. I feel that Athens is a great town to go to college in and the surrounding area is good if you are into outdoor activities. However, if you have lived in a large city your whole life Athens may be a bit of a shock. The anchor store in the mall is a tractor store . . . you get the point. Over all OU has been a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good education all well as a great social life.
