I transferred to CMU as from a local community college where I went on to fulfill a degree from the IET department. It is tough to compare CMU's technical programs to others in the state, however with that said i found myself well prepared to enter the workforce. Take full advantage of the internship programs. The IET department does a wonderful job of locating students for summer work. Most of which paid quite well.

The athletics are hit and miss. Great tradition with students and alum alike who crave winning teams.

The inter mural activities are great. Get involved!

The social life is what you make of it. Should you chose to party, well the sky is the limit. Should you chose to be a book worm, well, you can do that at any school. Find a happy medium and I can guarantee your leave with some great memories as well as a proud alum.
