If you want to study engineering this is the campus for you. Only few universities in the world have their own nanotechnology institute and UCSB has a brand new one. In fact MIT doesn't have one. One of my professors gave me a tour of the nanotechnology laboratory when I displayed interest in nano-robotics. This school is also the only one where you can study all you want and party any day. If you want to party on a Wednesday, you bet there is a party in town. Please understand that all the parties are in a small college city next to the UCSB campus called Isla Vista. If you live on the dorms there is peace and quiet. Do not think that the school is a party school, the city next to it is the party place. NO ONE IS GOING TO FORCE YOU TO DRINK ANYTHING! So if you heard rumors about this school being all about parties, than you've been wrongfully informed…
