Date: Dec 31 1969
Major: PreDent and Dentistry (This Major's Salary over time)
(based on Rose Hill campus) Fordham is a great school for a student who want a suburban environment in a major city. This is a rare combination that Fordham can offer.

Security: The campus is completely gated and feels very safe. Even the Bronx outside isn't bad in fact many students choose to move into the Bronx for their Junior or Senior years.

Location: The location of the campus can't be beat, the city is right there, and internships; which are a dime a dozen in NYC by the way. The campus also provides as an escape from the city as its large fields and Gothic buildings are an island in NYC.

Education: Overall the professors are very friendly, approachable, and will gladly help you. They are extremely smart, speak English well, and leave you feeling like you learned something. Many students end up getting internships or research opportunities through their professors connections.

Night Life: There are unlimited options, the Bronx is surprisingly fun, the city is just a subway, metro north, or ram van ride away, and the campus plans, shall we call them, more "wholesome" activities for those who aren't interested in the other options

Worst Parts: Dealing with residential life can be a pain, but you only have to do that once a year. The food is average, but they just hired a panel of angry students to help fix it, and we've already seen changes. And dealings with the administration is difficult, but after a little inconvenience you will usually get what you were after.

Best Parts: Fordham is putting an absurd amount of resources into

becoming the #1 Catholic University in the country by 2016
according to the President. Even though I don't think it could happen that fast I think it eventually could with the steps they've been taking. I do however think this could realistically be one of the top 3 Catholic Schools by 2016. It gets harder to get in here every year. The most valuable thing here are the connections you will make with other students who will be successful, and you become part of the Jesuit community which is a huge connection outside of Fordham.

In the end I don't think that there is a better school to prepare for your future. You will meet great people here and have great times with them while learning about everything New York has to offer.

For Pre-meds: It's hard, but it can be done. Stay close to the pre-health advisor, and seek her advice often if you want to succeed. Also make sure to ask older pre-med students how to be successful, they can be more helpful than you can imagine. Good Luck feel free to ask me questions.
