The University of Florida is big. Very big. There are students everywhere you look, wherever you are. You would think that with such a large student population, there would be some diversity in how many people look and act, but I haven't found this to be the case. The student body is overall homogenous- frat/sorority girls who all look the same and act the same and are obsessed with the alright football program. Anything fun-related HAS to be alcohol-related… it's as if you can't have fun if there isn't some type of fermented beverage involved. A lot of people are close minded and come from smaller towns and cities in Florida. The actual city of Gainesville is… pathetic. There wouldn't be a city if the university wasn't in town. There are only two things to do and that is go to a "club" or go to a bar. It all gets boring fast and I can't imagine spending 4 years of your life here… choose another school with more life and "oomph" to it.
