ISU is an okay school. The quad is convenient (all class buildings are right there) and pretty. Most teachers so far are approachable, mostly through email. There are a ton of gen eds you have to get through which I hate (as a P.R. major I reeeeally dont need to take 3 sciences). Social life is what you make of it - most weekends are wandering around until you find a house/frat party to stay at. I was sick of the on campus food halfway into first semester. There are a few decent places to eat off campus, but otherwise the town of Normal sucks. Seriously. There's nothing. Theres a mall and some decent shopping on Veterans Parkway but the busses don't run at all on Saturday so you're pretty much stranded. I went home a lot more than I thought I would on weekends bc there's not too much to do here. If you're coming to ISU, trust me: bring your car.
