Despite many of the comments, this is a great school if you take advantage of the many oppurtunities given to you. I am in the honors program, which is difficult, but not impossible. It also provides many chances to do things outside of schools, such as seeing plays or touring LA. I am also premed, which is difficult, but is expected to be at any school. The social life is great here, and you don't have to be a greek to feel like you belong. Things such as football certainly take a major part in life at the university, but you don't have to be involved if you don't want to. There are certainly a few problems, such as safety outside of campus(on campus is fine), but if you are smart, you will be fine. It is a really great atmosphere with fun professors and alumnae, and I highly recommend it.
