The school has come a long way since I graduated in the 80's but the core is still there. A very friendly open atmosphere balanced to nurture the body and spirit as well as the mind. The Jesuit influence is felt but not overbearning. It is small enough to know everyone, if that's what you want, or large enough to not feel smothered. While it is close to NYC, it's still not close enough. The onky drawback is there is no local city life and Bridgeport was not an option back then, maybe it is now. Being close to the water and the beach was great and made the town feel like it was part of the campus. I think this university remains one of the best deals in education in the Northeast w/o being snobby.
