Let me describe what life at Binghamton is like:—4600 guys, 5400 girls. 5000 of those girls have boyfriends. 400 of them think they are too good for any of the guys here.—95% Democrats. Other 5% consider John Kerry to be a conservative.—5000 Asians, think they are "ghetto" and "minority" and won't talk to any of the 4500 white kids. They want to hang with the 500 black kids, but the black kids don't want to hang with the Chinese kids. This results in a heavily racially divided student body, as apparent in the dining halls.—No matter what Lois DeFleur and PR may claim, this school feels like it's 50% Long Island, 45% New York City, and 5% "Upstate" (According to most people at this school, if you live 2 blocks north of the Bronx you are a white trash hick who lives on a cow farm and shops at Walmart regularly.) The Long Island kids will only hang out with other Long Island kids and of course, cool badass "City" kids, but the City kids hate all the Long Island kids and everyone seems to forget about the "upstaters" (very liberally defined). Out of staters non-existent.—Out of the white students, 50% are Jewish. The other 50% are too embarassed to admit they're Jews.—Snows most of the time. When it's now snowing, it's raining. When it's not raining or snowing, it's like -2 degrees with a windchill of -27. It's only actually nice out for the first and last 3 weeks of the school year, if that.—On any given Friday or Saturday night, 50% of the students go to a bar. The other 50% go to the frats. If you live in Newing, this also applies to Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights.
