Having studied at another state school (UVM), in Europe (grad work), and at a smaller private college I have had many different educational experiences. Boston College provided me with everything I needed in the classroom and it challenged me sufficiently. I made the most of the experience and took from it what I could. However the student body was the least diverse, close minded, and snooty I have come across. It is extremely clicky and had little to offer for someone "out of the mold". This being said if you are considering BC consider it for the academics, despite what others may say (I found myself extremely well prepared in grad school and beyond). The faculty is excellent and well regarded (depending upon the department). If you are looking for an artsy or crunchy scene avoid it like the plague. All in all I would give it a B…
