You will never have an experience like FAMU anywhere else. School pride is like no other. Yes you go through issues with financial aid and parking services but that happens at every school and it makes you feel more in the FAMUAN family. I didn't visit FAMU before I decided to go there. I applied to USF and FIU and got in but I chose FAMU cause it was the farthest away from my parents =) I don't regret my decision one bit. I chose not to stay their for Grad School cause the city of Tallahassee can get boring and I'm looking for a City atmosphere. I recommend that HS students come to FAMU focused because you can flunk out your first year. Have your priorities straight and dont waste your parents or anyone elses money (scholarships can be taken away). Don't become a "SUPER SENIOR" or major in "Set-tology" cause I hope thats not what you came to do. Join clubs and organizations your freshman year to get to know people and if you do decide to Pledge try to get it out of the way your Sophmore year because when your actually in your major Junior year your grades will take a beating.
