I advise all prospective college students to not place so much weight on rankings and reviews. Visti the campus; see what the school has to offer. As a first-generation college student, Virginia Tech met MY needs. Neither of my parents have college degrees, and I researched colleges without any parental bias. In the end, Tech made sense because it was affordable and ranked as a top 20 engineering school. The academics are demanding, career services are outstanding (partly because of a large alumni base), and expenses are relatively minimal. In short, take command of YOUR education, and don't solely rely on the plethora of rankings and reviews. Virginia Tech is good on paper but great in reality.
