Date: Feb 16 2004 Major: Political Science (This Major's Salary over time) Miami offers challenging academics and a lively social scene. A strong base for graduate school/career - it's been invaluable to me. My core classes were challenging and competitive but not cut-throat. I mixed in a breather class every semester for a break (music, art, horseback riding, so many options here) - I highly recommend this for future personal enrichment, or even to discover a new direction. The university clearly reinvests the tuition fees and endowment in the form of impressive faculty, programs, and amenities. The tone on campus is conservative; don't be put off if that's not your style - the Western- and off-campus social scene is eclectic and liberal.
