Central Michigan is a good school. Every year I have been here it has only become better. The downfall midland is the closest city - 30 mins away. Lansing - 1hr away.

Despite that, CMU could be a looked upon as a top tier school. If CMU continues to imporve as it has in the past 4 years I have been here, I would expect it to take off quickly.

Depsite not having a real "city" the one positive aspect is, the entire city of Mt. Pleasant is essentially for college students. All of Mt. Pleasant survives only due to college students therefore the city and community is heavily involved in university and visa versa.
