I transferred into FIT last year after 2 & a 1/2 years at another school, and although I lost most of my credits (FIT curriculum is very specialized & not transfer friendly!) I have never regretted the decision once.

I have learned so much about the advertising and marketing industry in so little time here, I literally feel like I'm ready to get out in the work field now. Thanks to the help of the internship office I will be interning this semester at a PR agency just a few blocks from the school as well as going abroad for an internship this summer with other FIT students and faculty.
The location of the school is fantastic, your in the middle of everything. There is a subway entrance right across the street from the campus and there is never a lack for taxi's on 7th avenue so getting around is easy.

The professors are great, you're never just an ID# because classes are small enough that they know everyone's names. If you show your professors that you're interested in the work, they will be interested in helping you as much as they can and being that they are all currently working in or have worked in the industry believe me they can help you A LOT!
If you know what you want to major in and are considering FIT, come to this school! You will get a great education, be exposed to some of the most interesting and creative students in NY and have tons of exciting opportunities available to you.

I want to go into FMM and go to scottsdale community college right now (im taking english math sociology and intro to fashion merchandising.) I have not taken my SATS or ACTS yet…

I am a high school student and I am very interested in applying to FIT. However, i noticed that many people rated FIT's social life quite low. I want know why.

Hi! I'm considering applying to F.I.T for the advertising major as well, and was very intrigued by your review. Do you have any suggestions on the essay writing process? They say to relate your essay to your possible major and how you are a good fit.. but i'm a little confused on how I can write a good essay on advertising and me. I feel it would be a much easier topic for a fashion or other art major! So yes just curious if you had any suggestions about the essay-writing/applying process, because I feel that FIT would be a great school for me.
