Michigan State University College of Human Medicine is the place to go if you want to practice "people" medicine. You will get an excellent academic education as well as an education on how to treat people and be a REAL doctor, not just a clinician. It's also a great place to go if you are going to medical school with a family in tow. The school is interested in developing whole people physicians (not damaged, beatup smart people who have lost the ability to be compassionate.) You will NOT get the respect you deserve from the world of academics.
