If you are considering Villanova, chances are that you have heard the nickname "Villa no fun". Believe them. The social life is absolutely awful, and the surrounding city is just horrible. If you are looking to have a good time, this is most definitely not the school to go to.

The local county police (Randor) cream their pants at the thought of arresting Villanova students. Villanova is honestly hated by the local police. Hated. The head RA of my dorm even told me a story in which a drunk from our school was walking on her car and some others, and the RA called and identified herself from Villanova and the police got angry at her for calling.

The Villanova administration is just as bad. It is only the second week of school and I am already on probation. It is unbelievably strict here. If anyone told you otherwise, or that it gets better, he or she was flat out lying to you.

The only fun I have actually had here was when I went down to UPenn with some friends. They know how to have a good time. Unless you do the same, the closest thing to having fun you will be doing is drinking in your room as quietly as possible with maybe three friends, praying to god you don't get busted.

Finally, the greek system here is an absolute joke. The frats here do nothing. In fact, they are prohibited from having houses by the fraternity. There used to be some good ones here a few years ago, but the university banned them and had their charters revoked.
