I am so thankful for my time at UVA. Coming from California, UVA has exposed me to a set of beliefs and cultures that I would otherwise be oblivious to. Anyone who says that UVA is dominated by the Greek scene or lacks inter-racial mingling isn't making an effort to meet people. Extra-curriculas are ridiculously accessible, and through these organizations you can meet any kind of person you want, create your own intellectual/social circuit, and have a great time at night, with or without a fraternity party. Although I haven't loved every class I've taken, I have found my professors to be very accessible, and excited to speak with me when I visited their offices.
