Major: Design Arts - Industrial Design/Graphic Design/etc (This Major's Salary over time)
I don't know about fine arts but the communications design program has, for the most part treated me very well. I love art direction and have benefitted from almost every class. Liberal arts sucks for the most part but its manditory.Honestly, until you can be serious, don't waste your parents' money and fellow students' time in crits. That really pisses me off. And if you weren't good at art in highschool, going to artschool won't help. Harsh but true. Had to be said, given the admissions standards. Its expensive and time consuming and sometimes feels like nobody cares but they do. They just have high expectations and lives outside of the gates. Pratt takes pride in its reputation and despite the nasty bathrooms, a tough foundation year and lack of air conditioning, its a great education. I went to Pratt for two years, transferred to a University design program and transferred back. It wasn't as focused or competitive at the University. Also, living outside the city left me with little real design exposure except for the "Wegman's" logo and "Ted's Autobody" signs.
