Study hard. Expect great teachers, but a some-what boring campus.
I didn't have the best SAT scores (around 1230)Dec 29 2009Engineering Department
I didn't have the best SAT scores (around 1230) or ACT scores (26), but I had a 3.9 unweighted GPA and 4.35 weighted GPA and was ranked in the top 2% of my class, being 15 out of 600. I have a friend here who had a little less than a 3.0 GPA but amazing SAT scores so I guess have one or the other. Also, lots of activities to show you are well-rounded. I did community service every weekend for 2 years and was involved in theater, choir, dance, speech and debate, and a few other little things. A killer essay is also key. Make sure it is meaningful and thoughtful, not just something you wrote on a whim.

High SAT scores and GPA are undoubtedly a mustOct 05 2009Education
High SAT scores and GPA are undoubtedly a must - Villanova is becoming very competitive. A strong background in community service definitely helps. If you haven't done any volunteer work in high school and want to go to Villanova - START NOW!

Bring something different to your essay. Stand out.
And if you have visited Villanova on a campus tour, make sure they know that by filling out an information sheet. If you haven't visited yet, then why not?

I was a transfer student, with a GPA of 3.13. I had no problems getting in, which may have been a result of my interview.
