VCU is not famous by accepting only the bright and best. The main goal of the school is to be an active part of a community and is now the main school in the Richmond/Central VA area.
So your grades might not be a real factor here, but your experience - like volunteering and working in the community, or having a great artistic portfolio - will make a huge difference.

You don't have to do a lot to get into VCU. After all, 60 percent of the applicants get in here. I would suggest William and Mary, UVa, URichmond, or Mary Washington first.
