I had decent SAT's (1410) but I was notApr 03 2007Engineering Department
I had decent SAT's (1410) but I was not in the top ten% of my class at my public highschool (i was hardly top 15%). What i feel helped me get accepted was that I had special things in my application. I was a year ahead in math and wrote exellent essays. If you are not someone who has been raised in a family that values school, unlike most of the kids here, don't expect to be helped much by high SAT's because they value GPA much more - just pad the application with activities and jobs.
