There is no one sure-fire method of getting intoOct 31 2009Architecture
There is no one sure-fire method of getting into the school, but as long as you have an earnest effort in getting good grades in high school and also join extracurricular activities, you have a strong chance of getting in. What I think the Admissions Office looks for in potential first years are people who are open to what the world has to offer and who exhibit the greatest potential in becoming well-rounded individuals taking active roles in bettering society as a whole.
ACT: 33 SAT: 2010 Male
You need to be in the top ten-percentApr 12 2009Undecided
You need to be in the top ten-percent. Period. If you are over in any way you really will not make it. You need to be as proactive as possible in high school. Do lots of extracurriculars. Take lots of college level courses in high schools. Well it's pretty straight-forward. Do everything you can if you want to come here, because it is getting hyper-competitive with being considered the best-valued college in America. However, don't do the same thing I did. I am not trying to get you to not come here. By all means if this is the type of thing you are into go here. I just came here because I cannot afford to go anywhere else. This place has one bright spot for the low-income and that is the financial aid. If you want to be good here, talk very much in class because seminar style classes are dominant here compared to lectures. They grade based on discussions a lot as well so you have to be able to think analytically more so than globally. This means you have to think outside the box a lot.
