I'm a transfer student. I had a GPA of 4.0 and had already completed an A.A. degree. I had no problem getting in.

Of course, this is not likely your situation. I have no idea what the high school application process is like, and I don't pretend to know. Therefore, your milage may vary.

Lots of praying! To get into any university takes time. That's why students should start looking at university interest early. Getting an idea of what the schools have to offer and what you are looking to major. By the end of a high school students junior year they should have already narrowed their choices down to at least 5 schools. Send their admissions packets into these schools and wait. Once again giving yourself time and a deadline will decrease the percentage of setbacks and increasing the percentage of success.

In order to achieve acceptance to this university, I applied early with their VIP application. Their process was professional, and granted me a decision within only two weeks. This was a breath of fresh air compared to my other prospective schools which took over a month to reply back. In terms of high school requirements, one should have a strong GPA above 3.0 with a good SAT or ACT score. Apply to UT, you wont regret it!!!!
